RxSavingsPlus Prescription Drug Card
When you use your RxSavingsPlus card you will still pay the pharmacy for your prescription, however, it will be priced at the lower of the usual and customary price for the pharmacy or the RxSavingsPlus discounted pricing formula. The UPS pricing formula is usually significantly lower than the regular retail price of the pharmacy. In any event, you will receive the best price available for your prescription through the pharmacy.
All that is required to use your RxSavingsPlus card is to present it to your pharmacist at the time you are having a prescription filled. It is important to present your UPS card BEFORE the pharmacist begins filling your prescription. The pharmacist will use the card to submit the prescription electronically to the RxSavingsPlus on-line adjudication system.

Your RxSavingsPlus card is accepted at more than 59,000 participating pharmacies like CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target, Randalls, H-E-B, as well as many others including independent pharmacies.

Brand Name and Generic Medications
The RxSavingsPlus drug list contains over 99% of all prescription medications. You can use your RxSavingsPlus card for almost all commonly prescribed medications, both brand name and generic. Generic Medications are medications that the Food and Drug Administration has deemed to be equivalent to the branded medication. They must pass the same stringent tests that the branded medication did in order to be considered a brand equivalent. Generic medications will save you money. They average around 50% less than their branded counterparts. This UPS card leaves the decision to purchase branded or generic medications to you, your physician and your pharmacist.
